Summer holidays asa Capetonian ofter least you up the coast towards Plett. Every year, the wheat or barley is cut and sold, leaving fodder for the animals in winter. It's these images that make me pull over off the road and get some images to paint from. Technically this one was quite a challenge, put down the darkest of browns, burnt siennas, then the ochres, yellows and whites. Then of course the big blue sky with clouds to match.
